CCJ Rejects Claim for Serious Breach of Contract

On Tuesday, 10 June 2025, the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) dismissed an appeal from Saint Lucia in the case of LCCV2024/003Exquisite Homes Limited v Geest Industries (Estate) Limited against the decision of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. The appeal concerned whether Geest Industries had committed a serious breach of a contract for the sale of land to Exquisite Homes before that land was compulsorily acquired by the Government.
